Nigeria’s 2022 home Jersey by Nike has now been leaked online and fans are not happy, MySportDab reports.
The first pictures of the new kit shows a very bold and unique design.
It features a garish design with an all-over pattern covering the front and sleeves in different type of green colours.
The look is then completed by Dark green cuffs and white logos.
The new design look more like the Nigerian Yoruba tribe native ‘Ankara’ dress.
According to Nike, the Nigeria 2022 home kit has four different colours which are White, Green Spark, Pine Green, and Black.
The Nigeria 2022 home Jersey will be officially launched in August or September 2022.
However, fans are unhappy about the new design which has now gone viral on social media.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “Looks like the coat of many colours.”
Another fan said: “Nigeria, my country why.”
A third fan added: “The NFF had better file a $1 billion lawsuit against Nike. This is embarrassing, and a complete disgrace!”
More fans did not hide their opinion on the new design.
Another Nigeria Super Eagles fan wrote: “Nike is now sewing Asoebi.”
The Nigeria Super Eagles won’t play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this year, so the new design won’t be used there.
However, there are Friendly matches that could come up when the new season gets some break.
