FT: Fulham 2-2 Liverpool, Darwin Nunez Strikes On Debut! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Darwin Nunez scored on his debut, but Aleksandar Mitrovic got a brace as Fulham held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter wasn’t good enough for the Reds, who came in the better of both teams with many expectations.

Liverpool started well as expected, but shockingly Darwin Nunez was left off the bench by Jurgen Klopp, who decided to go with Roberto Firmino as the center man for the game.

Fulham Vs Liverpool

Newcomers Fulham wasn’t bad themselves as they gave their opponent a good run for their money with them defending so well and keeping things going good as it progresses.

Aleksandar Mitrovic made himself available in the 32nd minute of the game to give his side a 1-0 lead from a beautiful finish which stunned their opponent as things continued.

That goal was the changer as the first half of the encounter ended with Fulham taking a 1-0 lead in the game as they headed inside for the break against Liverpool, who couldn’t score a goal.

Second Half Report

The second half started with the Reds doing everything possible going forward as they made some early changes bringing in Darwin Nunez from the bench.

Liverpool continued to apply more pressure hoping to make something happen as they were seriously in need of getting that goal which didn’t come immediately as they carried on.

Fulham were caught sleeping as new signing Darwin Nunez scored the leveler to bring his side back into the encounter 1-1 from a great goal which came in the 64th minute with an assist from Mohamed Salah.

Aleksandar Mitrovic made it a brace in the 72nd minute after Virgil van Dijk committed a penalty which he was able to step up and give his side a 2-1 lead in the match.

Mohamed Salah scored in the 81st minute of the match to make sure they level once again 2-2 in a goal which Darwin Nunez assisted.

The game ended with Fulham holding Liverpool to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes of football between them in their season’s opening game.
