La Liga has blocked Barcelona’s attempt to register their new signings this season, MySportDab reports.
The Spanish football governing body has warned the La Liga giants of the consequences of making heavy signings beyond set limits.
Barcelona fell off with La Liga due to their five signings this season, including two others that have renewed their contracts with the club.
La Liga prohibits teams from overspending beyond some set financial limits to promote fairplay and level the playing field for all club financially.

The Catalans have obviously overspend in the current transfer window, including contract renewal by Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Roberto.
Barca president Joan Laporta has reiterated that the club has done all the needful to have their players registered, but La Liga are the ones delaying.
Laporta made this known while presenting one of their highly-rated new attacker Robert Lewandowski at the Camp Nou stadium.
The Catalans have splashed a whooping £143m in the the 2022 summer transfer window.
They have brought in the likes of Rephinha from Leeds, Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, Kounde from Sevilla, Franck Kessie from AC Milan, and Andreas Christensen from Chelsea.
Sergio Roberto and Ousmane Dembele will also be affected as they renewed their contract at the end of last season.
La Liga is expecting the Blaugrana to free up funds by liquidating some assets to offset their piling debt crisis.
Barcelona reportedly owes over€1b in debt and have been liquidating some of their assets including percentage of TV rights to offset the debt.
La Liga kicks off on a a few days from now. The Blaugrana must meet all their financial obligations if they want to have their new signings play for them in the 2022-2023 La Liga season.
