FT: Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace, Wilfred Saha STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Liverpool has dropped points again in their second Premier League match as they settled for a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Anfield, MySportDab reports.

First Half

Liverpool took the game to their opponents with much aggression on Crystal Palace.

The Reds dominated the game as they looked to salvage all these points against a resilient Crystal Palace team.

The match continued as Liverpool pressed harder fr a goal, all to no avail as Crystal Palace sat back to contain them.

 

The visitors depended on quick counters attacks to upset the Liverpool defense and were able utilise the best chance they created in the game.

Wilfred Saha struck in the 32nd minute to give the visitors a surprise lead at Etihad.

Liverpool attempted to stage an immediate come-back for an equaliser but could not as the first half ended with Crystal Palace going into the break with a surprise lead.

Second Half

Liverpool still maintained dominance and pressed for an equaliser, but the visitors ha e already erected a brick wall defense to defend their narrow lead.

Liverpool was hit with a disastrous blow in the 52nd minute. Front line attacker Darwin Nunez was red-carded after headbutting a Crystal Palace player.

This compounded the woes of the Reds as they were reduced to 10 men with a goal deficit.

Despite trailing by a lone goal and one man down, Liverpool still dominated the game.

 

It was Luiz Diaz’s thunderbolt strike in the 61st minute that gave the home team an equaliser.

The Red tried to push for another goal but the time was already far spent as the game ended with both sides sharing the spoils.
