Batshuayi’s move to the City Ground was scuttled and torpedoed after just at the stroke of time as necessary documents to facilitate a move did not arrive in time.

Now Fenerbahce has made it known through an official statement that they must agree on a fee for the Belgium international.

The 28-year-old is said to be keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge as he has struggled under Thomas Tuchel.

Batshuayi has managed just 77 appearances for the Blues since 2016 and has scored 26 goals since joining the Blues in 2016.

In his six-year spell with the club, Batshuayi has gone on loan five times, and he has just a year remaining in his contract, which will expire next summer.

With the Turkish transfer window still open, Batshuayi is on a straight road to join the Turkish giants.

The possibility of Batshuayi making it to Tuchel’s starting XI is very low, and with World Cup coming soon, regular times are necessary to be sure of a call-up.
