Chelsea suffer a 1-0 loss against Dinamo Zagreb in their first game in the UEFA Champions League 2022-23, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half started well with the Blues from London doing so much going forward in the game which they had some early opportunities.

Chelsea were the better of both teams which was expected of them to be as they continued but unable to make anything happen.

Dinamo Zagreb hit on a counter which saw Wesley Fofana unable to catch up with Mislav Orsic who slotted the ball by Kepa’s side making it 1-0 in the 13th minute.

The match carried on with the Blues pushing with everything they have to make sure they level things immediately, but nothing happened despite all their pressure.

It looked very dry as all the passes coming from the Premier League side were all badly done as the first half ended with Dinamo Zagreb taking a 1-0 lead against Chelsea after 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half was a bit different as the away side came in as another team who were more eager to make something happen than they were in the first 45 minutes.

Chelsea continued with their impressive dominance but it didn’t see them going close to making anything happen as it carried on between them.

Dinamo Zagreb were too good to be beaten as they all defend very well with them holding things into the one hour mark with the lead also on their side moving on.

More wasted opportunities and the home side almost doubled their advantage but Kepa Arrizabalaga made an incredible save to keep the ball out.

The match came to an end with Dinamo Zagreb taking all the three points with a 1-0 win against Chelsea after 90 minutes of football played between them for the night.
