PSG also made some concessions for the 22-year-old after he sensationally snubbed a move to Real Madrid to renew his contract with the PSG.

His new deal with the club gave him some form of special status in the team with some latitude to have a say on how the club is being run.

Mbappe reportedly wielded power to determine who is hired and fired at PSG as the Parisians were desperate to keep the player.

Meanwhile, Mbappe’s new marquee status has stoked tensions, with divisions reported in the PSG squad.

Mbappe collided with Brazilian star Neymar, and the feud has further deepened tensions in the squad, with some players reportedly lining up with Neymar while others support him.

Mbappe has reportedly felt betrayed in light of what is going on in PSG right now.

He also complained of the stifling Galtier’s attacking tactics which he finds restrictive.

Meanwhile, Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has waded into the current ordeal faced by his son at PSG, making him want to leave.

Fayza retweeted a post which said that Mbappe is a victim of “smear campaigns” that has made him want to leave PSG.

Meanwhile, top clubs are queuing to sign the highly-rated French forward, with Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City leading the race.
