Erik Ten Hag Makes Bold PROMISE To Manchester United Fans (Details)

Manchester United Coach Erik ten Hag has now revealed that he wants to put the club back on top of the world, MySportDab reports.

Since he joined in the summer from Ajax, Ten Hag has won 12 of his first 19 matches ahead of Thursday’s Carabao Cup match against Aston Villa.

The Dutchman is confident he can restore United to former glories after inheriting a difficult situation, but has warned it won’t be easy.

‘It’s a great challenge that I want,’ said Ten Hag.

‘I want to do everything possible to get us back to where we belong and on the top of the world.

‘I knew from the start that it would be a difficult process, because I think Manchester United are far away from the standards they were known for.

‘So we’ve worked for five months now on the process and it’s clearly going up and down. Sometimes you have bad performances, defeats, and learn from them.

‘Also you are conscious that you should be in a better place by working even harder.

‘I’m sure that we are in the right direction. I want to win all the games and be on top of the league, but it’s not realistic for now.

‘The process takes time, but when we are not there – where we should have been – then something is wrong.’

Ten Hag admits the defeat at Villa Park was a new lesson for the team and has challenged his players to do better.

‘Sometimes, there are setbacks like Sunday and we are not happy with the performance,’ he added.

‘I feel responsible. The team that played on Sunday is not Manchester United.

‘I know players are not robots but we should have produced a better performance at Villa Park.

‘We made it quite clear: it’s not acceptable, it’s never good enough. We have to deliver in every game. It’s not good.’
