Cristiano Ronaldo has been slammed with a £50,000 fine by the FA for smashing a phone off the hand of an Everton fan back in April, MySportDab reports.

The incident, which the FA reviewed, saw the Portuguese being punished with a fine and also handed a ban.

In April last season, Manchester United traveled to Goodison Park for a Premier League game against Everton.

The Red Devils lost the match by a lone goal, and Ronaldo was angry after the result.

He stormed down the tunnel heading for the exit before bumping into an Everton fan, Jacob Harding.

Harding was using his phone to take pics of the players as they left the pitch into the tunnel.

Ronaldo was furious with the little boy and was caught on Camera slapping the phone from the boy’s hand.

The FA waded into the crisis after the video surfaced online with the mother of Harding calling for a Police investigation and indictment of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was interrogated by the Merseyside Police but was released without any investigation.

The FA had conducted their own investigation and have now reportedly concluded the investigation, with Ronaldo slammed with a £50,000 fine and suspension.

While Ronaldo had reportedly accepted improper conduct, he was determined to fight a potential ban.

Now that he has been suspended, all fingers are crossed on whether he will dispute and fight off the ban.

The punishment is coming hours after Manchester United have terminated his contract on mutual consent following his bombshell interview with Pier Morgan.
