Lionel Messi has arrived his home after a chaotic World Cup victory parade at Bueno Aires, MySportDab reports.

The PSG star was driven by his wife to his gated homestead in Rosario after he had joined his teammates in a victory parade through Argentina’s capital Bueno Aires.

He was greeted with a heroic reception by thousands of fans, who gathered to welcome him back to his homeland after leading Argentina to a third World Cup glory.

It was the first time the 35-year-old stepped foot in his home city since he lifted the World Cup on Sunday.

On his arrival, hundreds of excited and cheering fans had already gathered his gated homestead in Rosario chanting ‘Dale Campeon’, translating to ‘Let’s go champion.’

The security operatives had to muster great effort to disperse and pushed through a narrow path for Messi’s wife to drive the star in through the middle into his house.

Lionel Messi was born in Rosario, where he started his football career playing for Newell’s Old Boys based in the city.

At the age of 13, he and his family relocated to Barcelona, where he subsequently rose through the ranks at the La Liga club to become one of the greatest stars football has ever known.

Despite playing his trade now at Ligue 1 giant PSG, Lionel Messi regularly travels back to his private estate called Kentucky in Funes in Rosario.

The massive property is reportedly built on three adjoining plots of land in a gated private estate on the outskirts of the footballer’s home city of Rosario.

It has a huge cinema, gym and underground garage with enough space for 15 cars.

Lionel Messi scored a brace and converted his penalty to help Argentina lift their third World Cup trophy after 36 years.
