Al-Nassr have terminated the contract of Cameroon international Vincent Aboubakar to register Cristiano Ronaldo, MySportDab reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed a mega deal with Al-Nassr that will see him earn whooping £173million every year throughout his stay at the club.

The Portuguese legend is signing a two-and-a-half-year deal that will see him stay at the club till 2025.

After joining the Saudi giant, Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled to thousands of Al-Nassr fans, and over 3 billion global audience.

The unveiling was one of the most-viewed sporting event, a billion more that the audience that tuned in to watch the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.

After the unveiling, Cristiano Ronaldo ended up watching his first game as Al-Nassr player from the stand.

He could not make his debut for the club and is set to miss another match to serve his two-match ban he picked in the Premier League after assaulting a young Everton fan in 2021.

Apart from the ban, Cristiano Ronaldo also faced another hurdle – the Saudi Pro League allows only eight foreign player per club, and Al-Nassr reportedly surpassed the number after signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

They could not register the player and need to axe one of the foreign players to allow Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for the team.

Reports reaching us from Daily Mail has confirmed that Al-Nassr and Vincent Aboubakar have reach a mutual agreement to end the 30-year-old’s contract to pave way for the registration of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League.

Vincent Aboubakar is now officially a free agent and there are reports linking him to a move to Old Trafford while Cristiano Ronaldo will now registered as an Al-Nassr player
