Zlatan Ibrahimovic has finally arrived in Italy “home” to undergo his medical ahead of his AC Milan transfer, MySportDab reports.
The Sweden international after arriving at Linate Airport in Milan and has now signed his six-month contract, with the option for another year.
The 38-year-old was available as a free agent after deciding to terminate his two-year contract with the MLS club LA Galaxy.
Ibrahimovic played for Milan before from 2010 until 2012, winning the Serie A title, Supercoppa Italiana and expressed his delight at securing a second spell.
“I remember my first time when I arrived here many years ago. What is important most now is that I’m happy and back,” Ibrahimovic told Milan TV.
“I’ve always known this as my home and I’m truly back. I’ve played for many teams in over the years, but I’m finally back and that’s what matters.
Asked if he wanted to pass a message to the fans at the airport, Ibrahimovic added: “I’m back, truly.
“I’m more eager to meet the fans at San Siro, to make the stadium sing with joy again.”
Milan currently sit 11th on the Serie A table after a 5-0 shocking loss at Atalanta, their worst league results in over for 21 years just before the mid-season break.
