Alejandro Garnacho Injury Situation CONFIRMED! (Details)

The injury situation of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has been confirmed, MySportDab reports.

The 18-year-old Argentina international picked up a knock in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Garnacho was slid down by Kyle Walker-Peters in the 83rd minute a few minutes after he was brought on by Erik Ten Hag.

Despite struggling in agony after the sliding tackle, he held on and played for some minutes before being taken off in the final minute.

After the match, Garnacho was spotted supported in crutches as he limped off the Old Trafford vicinity.

Erik Ten Hag had downplayed Garncho’s injury blow, saying it is not serious and he subbed him off as a precautionary measure.

Now, a report from Argentina media outlet TYC Sports confirmed Alejandro Garnacho had undergone a medical examination on the injury today.

The report added the situation and severity of the injury is more serious than previously thought.

Now, Garnacho will miss Argentina’s next two fixtures in the international break coming up this month.

Argentina takes on Panama and Curacao on March 23 and March 28.

The youngster is set to miss the two fixtures.

However, Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is reportedly not ready to cut off Garnacho from the squad.

He is monitoring the injury situation before taking a decision on whether to include him on the squad or not.

Garnacho has played 26 matches for Manchester United this season in all competitons, scoring three goals with four assists.
