According to the Sun, Bayern Munich will be tackling Manchester City without one of their top and prolific strikers Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
The Cameroon international has been the club’s most reliable forward and had helped them stay in contention for a double silverware this season.
This season, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has scored 17 goals for the Bavarians in all competitions for Bayern Munich.
He last featured for the club in the German Cup defeat to Freiburg and was complaining of a knee problem.
Bayern Munich have confirmed Choupo-Moting is not traveling with the squad and has been omitted due to the problem.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting did not feature in Bayern Munich’s last Bundesliga clash against Freiburg due to the injury.
Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is tipped to replace the prolific forward in attacking role at Etihad.
Sadio Mane missed the World Cup and recently return to Bayern Munich after months on the sidelines.
It will be the first time he will return to England after he left Liverpool last year for the Bundesliga giants.
Manchester City loanee to Bayern Munich, Joao Cancelo is also set to start for the club and will return to face his old teammates at Etihad.
