BREAKING! Premier League Announce April Manager of The Month Winner!

Premier League has announced the winner of the manager of the month of April, MySportDab reports.

Some Premier League managers who were shortlisted for the awards include Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, Bournemouth manager, Martin O’Neil and Aston Villa manager, Unai Emery.

From the onset, Manchester City manager was primed to win the ward for the first time in months due to his great achievement with Manchester City in April with a 100% win.

But he played fewer number of games than other contenders and stood less chance of clinching the award.

Playing fewer number of games than other managers shortlisted for the award, Pep Guardiola made it five wins out five, garnering maximum points to overtake Arsenal on the Premier League title race.

The former Barcelona manager is undefeated in the Month of April and is right on the route to defend the Premier League title they won last season.

They are currently a point above Arsenal on top of the Premier League table but have an outstanding game which could see them extend the lead to four points.

Mikel Arteta, who is challenging for the Premier League title had a great Premier League outing in the Month of April also but his record was marred with three successive draws that gave Pep Guardiola an upper hand both in the title race and the award.

Mikel Arteta and Manchester United’s Erik Ten Hag have been the award winners of recent but Unai Emery has defeated them to clinch the award for the first time since joining the Premier League, succeeding Steven Gerrard.

 

Unai Emery has been a revelation at Villa Park, transforming Aston Villa from a relegation-trapped team to a European contender.

In the month of April, he made it five wins out of a possible seven to clinch the award ahead of other contenders like Pep Guardiola, Martin O’Neil, Mikel Arteta, and others.
