Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard has revealed that his team need to copy how Liverpool use their attacking Full-backs during matches, MySportDab reports.
Liverpool Full-backs Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have both provided a total 33 assists in all competitions in 2019 alone.
Chelsea are now set to face Tottenham in a West London Derby today in the English Premier League.
The Blues have been impressive under Frank Lampard Lampard and their youngsters are making use of every opportunity.
But Lampard believes Chelsea need to copy from Liverpool one thing that will really help them attacking wise, which is getting full-backs with attacking sense.
“We have a great number of youths in our team and this can be understood when a game gets hard, especially when playing at home, the fans expect everything in every game,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“The fans expect us to create in all games but it in some matches, we have created a lot.
“But the last match against Bournemouth, I would agree we did not create enough chances to score.
“We looked safe and played very attacking sense. What we’re trying to make happen is our full-backs helping out in attacks.
“In modern football, we all know the full-back is a classic thing and Liverpool have showed that clearly ove the last two years with the amount of assists they’re providing from both sides.”
