Former Coach Unai Emery has reacted after Arsenal announced Mikel Arteta as their new manager at the Emirates, MySportDab reports.
Emery was sacked in November after a poor run of results leaving the team far beyond the top four spots and Arteta was confirmed on Friday as his replacement.
Now, Emery has reacted and believes Arteta will work out fine in north London.
“He is truly prepared for that next step,” Emery told the BBC.
“He played for Arsenal before, he’s used to the Premier League and he also worked with Pep Guardiola.
“I think he made the right decision and hopefully he delivers for the club.”
Emery was sacked after seven matches without a win for Arsenal in all competitions.
However, the Spaniard has admitted his situation became difficult after his 18 months stay at the Emirates.
Emery added: “I had people at my side who spoke to me and said, ‘I can see you’re suffering,’ and I said ‘truly’.
“When a coach can’t produce results, he suffers. And when he fails to win two, three games he suffers more.
“We needed to win to get back on track and get rid of that frustration we could not.
