Inter Milan have now yet again rejected Manchester United’s latest bid of €50m for goalkeeper Andre Onana, MySportDab reports.
United first offered £38.5m but Inter believe it was not enough for a top goalkeeper so they returned with a new bid.
The latest bid is an initial €45m with €5m in add-ons but it has now been rejected again.
Inter have always wanted €55m for their no.1 goalkeeper and now there is a growing optimism of an agreement between the two clubs.
The deal would allow the Cameroon stopper to complete his transfer to Old Trafford and work under his former Ajax manager.
Onana’s personal terms agreement is not an issue at the moment if both clubs agree on a fee.
Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation is unclear as No.1 David de Gea’s contract was allowed to expire.
He and the club were in talks over a contract but on reduced wages than his previous £375,000-per-week contract.
Both parties never concluded with the agreement and the Spaniard contract expired on July 1st.
United would still try to sign De Gea again based on the progress of signing a new goalkeeper.
Dean Henderson is back at the club after his loan at Nottingham Forest which ended early due to injury.
Forest want him back on loan and have started negotiations but still remain in position to make that move happen quickly.
United have also considered other goalkeepers such as Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow and Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp.
But the Red Devils remain focused on Ten Hag’s top choices and will try again to sign Onana.
