Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign young Japanese goalkeeper Zion Zuzuki, MySportDab reports.

With the possible exit of David De Gea on the cards, United will be hoping to broker a deal with two new goalkeepers this summer.

According to reports, Manchester United have been monitoring Zion Zuzuki for over six years and are now on the verge of signing the player from Urawa Diamonds in Japanese J League.

Reports from Japanese media confirmed Manchester United have taken a bold step to sign Zion Zuzuki after being satisfied with his performance so far.

They have tabled a J League record offer believed to be in the region of £5m for the player and are ready see through the deal to sign the player.

The £5m offer will make Zion Zuzuki the most expensive signing from the J League as per the Mail.

The Red Devils are on the final aspects of the deal with an official announcement expected soon as the Urawa Diamonds are ready to let Zion Zuzuki leave.

Manchester United

Zuzuki, 20, will likely be Manchester United first goalkeeper signing this summer with the club’s former first-choice goalkeeper, David De Gea, now out of contract.

United are also eyeing a move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana and have tabled a €55m bid for the player while Inter Milan wants €60m.

Personal terms with Andre Onana has been agreed with United hoping to have a greenlight from Inter Milan after their latest offer.

While pursuing the move for Onana, Manchester United are still open for a new contract talks with David De Gea despite the latter running out of contract with the club.
