James Trafford penalty save ensured England beat Spain 1-0 to win the Euro U21 Championship, MySportDab report.
Cole Palmer scored the first half goal which was the decider of the encounter between both teams all through the 90 minutes.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was amazing coming from both teams who gave all their best going forward with everything that happened.
Spain came into the final after crashing Ukraine out in a good fashion that saw them coming from behind to win and score four goals.
England were not worried as they went into the final without conceding any goal and their dominance was felt heavily by their opponent in the early minutes.
The game carried on with nothing else until a late goal from Cole Palmer in the 45th minutes plus added time which made things 1-0 for the Young Lions.
England headed for the break with a 1-0 lead against Spain who were no match for everything done by the English who were more clinical with their chance.
Second Half Report
The second half of the match was amazing coming from both teams who continued to do so much going forward in the encounter.
Spain came in doing a lot from their end to ensure they make a comeback, but it was difficult coming from them as their opponent were too good.
England were well organized and did everything in their power to keep the game going as everything became physical with yellow cards coming in.
James Trafford came to the resume for the Young Lions after saving a penalty which could have made the game level between them.
The match came to an end with England claiming a 1-0 victory against Spain as the Young Lions were crowned the winner of the European U21 Championship 2023.
