FT: Manchester United 1-3 Wrexham, Red Devils Suffer Shock DEFEAT! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Manchester United have suffered their first shock preseason defeat to Wrexham, MySportDab reports.

FIrst Half Report

Manchester United started on a good wielding control over the game.

 

Erik Ten Hag dropped all first team players in the squad, giving a chance to young talents to prove themselves.

United dominated proceedings, had enough control of the ball, but could not find their way through Wrexham defense.

Wrexham were pressed back into their own half as United mount pressure.

Against the run of play, Wrexham took a shock lead in the 29th minute with Lee opening the score for the side.

Seven minutes after Lee’s opening goal, Wrexham extended the lead with Hayden making it 2-0.

After conceding the two quick goals, United found their way back into the game with Jurado cutting the deficit in the 36th minute.

The first half ended with Manchester United trailing Wrexham 2-1

Second Half Report

Manchester United kick-started proceedings in the second half continuing to dominate the game as they search for an equaliser.

Wrexham held their nerves, tucked in their own half with a good defensive display to maintain the lead.

The game continued with no goal breakthrough for the Red Devils as battled to pull a comeback.

Late into the game, Manchester United come-back hopes was dealt an immense blow when Dalby scored Wrexham’s third goal, extending the lead to 3-1.

United ramped up attempts and made late efforts to close up the deficit again all to no avail as the match finally ended with with 3-1 defeat to the Red Devils.
