Tottenham Star Lucas Moura has admitted he was close to signing for Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson was manager, MySportDab reports.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to United in 2012 but decided to join French Giants Paris Saint-Germain.
In 2012, Moura was at Sao Paulo when Manchester United showed interest in signing him.
Despite his failed transfer, United signed some top quality players during that summer such as Shinji Kagawa and Robin van Persie from Arsenal.
Ferguson still showed interest in Moura, believing he could just add some more quality to his attacks from both wings.
However, Moura has now opened up about his failed transfer to Old Trafford and insists he has no regrets choosing PSG that summer.
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Moura said: ‘Yes, there were talks about the transfer.
‘I was very very close to joining the Premier League with Manchester United. It was during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign as manager.
‘I instead chose PSG, I did spend five good and fantastic years there which helped me alot, I do not regret the decision.’
