Karim Benzema is set for a shock transfer exit from Al Ittihad, MySportDab reports.

Benzema joined Al Ittihad early this summer after over a decade of a heroic career with Real Madrid.

His move to the Saudi Pro League was another landmark moment for the Saudi League who are vigorously recruiting big-name football stars into the league.

Karim Benzema joined the club alongside his French pal and former Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante.

Benzema penned a two-year contract with Al Al Ittihad worth €600m. He has made two appearances for the club and is yet to find the back of the net.

According to reports from Saudi media outlets, an unease is currently building in Al Ittihad dressing room between Karim Benzema and Al Ittihad manager Nuno Espirito Santos.

Report says Karim Benzema want to be Al Ittihad new captain – a move that has been turned down by Nuno Espirito Santos.

Sources close to the Saudi outfit have disclosed Nuno Espirito Santos has reached out to Al Ittihad officials telling them he doesn’t want to work with Karim Benzema as the player does not fit into his style of football.

It has also been revealed Nuno Espirito Santos was not part of the club’s decision to sign Karim Benzema hence the fallout was inevitable.

With the standoff between the former Tottenham Hotspur manager and the former Real Madrid forward, further reports say Benzema could be set for a shock transfer exit from Al Ittihad.

Nuno Espirito Santos led Al Ittihad to Saudi Pro League trophy last season and will be hoping to guide the club to another Saudi Pro League trophy.

Benzema, who clinched the 2022 Ballon d’Or award, was expected to be a big addition to the squad, but will now be forced for an exit solution if the faceoff with Nuno Espirito Santos continues.
