Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed his decision on whether to start Sofyan Amrabat in the game against Brighton today, MySportDab reports.

Sofyan Amrabat joined Manchester United on loan from Fiorentina on transfer deadline day and has been tipped to quickly make his debut for the club.

However, MySportDab understood Sofyan Amrabat suffered a back injury following his move to Manchester United.

Despite his injury, Manchester United allowed him to be called up for Morocco AFCON Qualifiers squad in the international break.

Amrabat sat out on the bench in Morocco’s two matches during the international break due to the injury as a precautionary measure to aid his speedy recovery.

Man United fans were optimistic of having the Fiorentina loanee make his debut for the club this week after the international break as he showed signs of a speedy recovery from the back issue.

Now, Erik Ten Hag has confirmed whether he is going to allow Sofyan Amrabat make his debut for the club in the game against Brighton or not.

Speaking in Brighton pre-match press conference, Erik Ten Hag confirmed Sofyan Amrabat will not be fit to start for Manchester United against Brighton and that the Moroccan midfielder is still recovering from his back injury.

“Amrabat, he came back unfortunately with the injury, so he will not be available for tomorrow [Saturday], but I think, on the short notice [soon], yes,” he said.

Sofyan Amrabat is the latest name added to Manchester United piling injury list with the likes of Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, all on the sideline.

Unlike other injured players, Erik Ten Hag also confirmed Sofyan Amrabat will return from injury soon to make his debut for the club.
