Manchester United have confirmed a fatal injury blow to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, MySportDab reports.

A club statement released by Manchester United confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for “a long period on the sidelines” due to the injury and will be ruled out of action for United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was brought on late in the game against Brighton on Saturday, coming on as a substitute in the 85th but picked up an injury in the final minutes of the game.

Manchester United club statement confirming the injury blow reads;

”Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during the closing stages of Saturday’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion.”

The right-back came on as an 85th-minute substitute, having started the game on the bench after battling illness during the week.

”Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks.”

Wan-Bissaka’s injury is coming as a major blow to Manchester United, who have a number of players sidelined.

Leading the list of players who are on the sidelines at Manchester United is Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Raphael Varane, Amad Diallo, and Kobbie Mainoo.

Wan-Bissaka has been instrumental to Erik Ten Hag’s Man United squad and will be greatly missed by the club as they look to overturn their poor start to the season.

Unlike last season, Manchester United have only managed two wins in their opening five matches this season.

They will next travel to Allianz Arena to take in German champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday in Champions League
