Manchester United have received a major injury boost ahead of their crunch Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils will trade tackles with Bayern Munich on Wednesday with a largely depleted squad.
Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Raphael Varane, Tom Heaton, Mason Mount have not tasted action for the club for weeks due to injury.
The toll of the injury crisis rocking the team is obvious as the club have stumbled to their worst start to the season since 1989.
Out of five matches, they have suffered three defeats, winning two and are locked on the 13th position on the table with 6 points.
United’s last game ended in a shock home defeat to Brighton and they will be travelling to face in-form Bayern Munich, who have won the Bundesliga on 10 consecutive occasions.
Despite the poor run of form, Manchester United will be hoping to return to winning ways against the Bavarians and have now been handed a major injury boost.
According to Football Daily, two of Manchester United injured players – Mason Mount and Raphael Varane – are back to Manchester United training ahead of the game against Bayern Munich.
The report adds Raphael Varane is more likely to start for Manchester United as he has improved immensely while on rehabilitation.
However, same could not be said of Mason Mount, who is also back but there are positive clues he could be ready for action soon for the club.
The news is coming as morale-booster to the squad, who have been ravaged with on-field and off-field controversies.
Apart from the injury crisis, Manchester United are also missing the likes of Antony, who has been axed off the squad for assault allegations.
Also, Jadon Sancho has been banished from first team training for feuding with Erik Ten Hag and will also miss the game.
