Manchester United survived Brentford scare as they come from behind to grab a late win over Brentford at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.

Match Report

Manchester United started the game on a good note dominating proceedings as they hoped to reverse a winless streak at Old Trafford in three matches.

Erik ten Hag had earlier fired a warning to the players before the game urging the squad to stay United and embrace the challenge of coming out stronger after the poor run of results.

Against Brentford, it was a pretty dicey tie for the Red Devils as they suffered a shock away defeat to the team last season under ten Hag’s watch.

Thomas Frank seemed to have a better of Erik ten Hag when taking on the Red Devils and today’s tie at Old Trafford was in no way different.

While Manchester United had a commanding control of proceedings going forward, Brentford seemed pretty strong at the back sitting deep to defend while hoping to catch the hosts on counter attacks.

It was not long before their efforts paid off as they ended up taking the lead against the run of play in the first half thanks to Jensen’s 26th-minute strike.

Manchester United headed into the break heads down as they closed on the brink of a third consecutive home defeat at Old Trafford.

United started the second half still in a brighter note trying to force through an equaliser but Brentford held on to maintain the lead.

The Red Devils failed to break the goal deadlock with the first half far spent as Brentford sat deep to defend Jensen’s 26th minute lead but there was a breakthrough finally in stoppage-time.

Scot McTominay scored two late goals in stoppage-time to complete a dramatic comeback for the Red Devils as the home side end their winless streak in style.
