Manchester United bidder Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has finally broken his silence after his failed bid to take over Manchester United as new owner, MySportDab reports.

Sheikh Jassim launched a £5.5bn bid to take over Manchester United after the Glazers announced decision to sell the club in November, 2022.

He was tipped by Man United fans to take over the club ahead of his rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe as he presented an offer that resonated with a large section of Man United fans.

Shiekh Jassim’s bid included the clearing of all Man United debts accumulated by the Glazers over the years.

He also promised a massive infrastructural revamp, investment on recruitment, and a total takeover that will wipe off the presence of the Glazers.

However, his lofty offer failed off the rating of the Glazers who demanded nothin less from £6bn to sell Manchester United.

At the death, Sheikh Jassim bowed out of the race after nine months of negotiation paving the way for his rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial ownership deal.

Following his withdrawal from the takeover race, Shiekh Jassim has finally broken his silence.

In a report shared by Transfer Live, the Qatari investor has reportedly sent a letter to the Glazers criticizing them for using him to inflate Man United value and then selling it to Sir Jim Ratcliffe who wants a partial ownership.

Transfer Live said;

“Sheikh Jassim has sent a letter to the Glazers. He explains that for him, they “never wanted to sell Manchester United and used him to increase the valuation of the club” with the aim of only selling minority shares at a high price. He now has other projects to focus on.”

Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants a 25% ownership of Manchester United that will see him control Manchester United sporting/football operations.

The Glazers will stay at the helm of affairs at Manchester United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s reign but they will play limited role.
