Brazil’s stalemate in CONCACAF 2026 World Cup Qualifiers has continued with a defeat against Argentina, MySportDab reports.

Ravaged and crippled with major injuries, the Selecao took on world champions Argentina in a blockbuster clash on Tuesday night.

As expected, it was a rollercoaster as the two giants of South American and world football lock horns.

Both came into the match at the back of defeats in their last qualifiers. Brazil lost away to Colombia while Argentina lost at home to Uruguay.

The match kicked off on a heady start with both sides looking to dominate proceedings.

It was a pretty engaging game with no absolute control by either side. They created a slew of chances and recorded a number of attempts on goal.

Brazil narrowly got the better of the visitors despite having key names such as Vinicius Jr, Neymar, Casemiro, Eder Militao, all missing from the game.

The first half ended barren with both sides unable to find the back of the net.

The game continued on same frantic pace in the second half but there was no goal breakthrough until the 63rd minute when Otamendi scored to give Argentina the lead.

Brazil ramped up attempts to nailed home and equaliser but could not level terms.

The match ended with Brazil suffering defeat in front of their home fans as Argentina returned to winning ways after loss to Uruguay.

Brazil are now winless in their last two World Cup qualifiers.

Elsewhere in CONCACAF 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Colombia continued in winning ways defeating Paraguay 1-0; Ecuador defeated Chile 1-0; Uruguay thrashed Bolivia 3-0 while Peru and Venezuela settled for a 1-1 draw.
