Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has fired warning to his players despite a convincing Premier League victory over Chelsea, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United bounced back with a win over Chelsea, coming off the back of an immense pressure after Newcastle United loss.

After Bruno Fernandes missed a spotkick that would have given United the lead, Scott McTominay rose to the occasion in the 13th minute to give the home side the lead.

The Red Devils nearly ran out with a first half win but were pegged back with Cole Palmer’s 45th minute equaliser.

In the second half, United stunned the spectators with a far more clinical performance and were able to return to the lead again with Scott McTominay’s second goal.

The match ended with the Red Devils grabbing a deserved 2-1 after the final whistle.

Speaking after the match, Erik ten Hag seemed not to allow room for complacency as he fires warning to United players after the win to maintain similar fighting spirit.

The Dutch lauded the remarkable and spirited performance by the team and warned them not to slack again in subsequent games to avoid being roasted.

He said;

“When you are not on top form on the day, you get beaten,’ he said. ‘You need to be at your best. When you are not, you get killed. We know that and we need the right attitude every game.

‘’We are pleased with the result and the performance. We deserved this. We wanted to send this message to crowd but this is also our style. In the first 30 minutes we did it perfectly on the pitch.

‘‘I think it was enjoyable for our fans to watch us play and that is what we want every game, but we are not robots.”

Manchester United came under intense pressure after an abject defeat to Newcastle United with reports emerging the club is battling with fissures in the dressing room.

A defeat to Chelsea would have compounded the situation at the club with Erik ten Hag coming under intense pressure to reverse the dismal start to the campaign.

The win against Chelsea has seen United move three points close to local rivals and defending champions who are fourth on the table.
