Casemiro Ready For Bayern UCL Clash? Manchester United Confirm Update

Manchester United have confirmed Casemiro injury update ahead of their crunch Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils are under pressure to eke out a win against Bayern Munich to stand a chance of qualifying to the next round of the competition.

Following their dramatic draw again Galatasaray in Turkey, United had their Champions League fortunes slip off their hands.

They can only secure qualification to the next round of the competition if they win Bayern Munich but Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen must share spoils in the other fixture.

Ahead of the Champions League clash with the Bundesliga giants, Manchester United have confirmed a major injury boost with Casemiro back to training.

Casemiro was spotted on individual training session – the first time he has returned to the grass after six weeks on the sidelines.

The Brazil international picked up an injury while on international duty with Brazil.

He last played for Manchester United in a 3-0 defeat to Newcastle on November 1, and will now be expected to contest for a starting role against Bayern Munich.

According to the Mirror, it is still unclear whether Casemiro will be available for Man United to start the match as he is yet to return to full fitness.

Erik ten Hag previously said the midfield sensation is expected to be back after Christmas but is now welcoming him weeks earlier.

With United’s inconsistent domestic and European campaign, Casemiro could be a great addition to the squad in the key fixture against Bayern Munich.

United will be hoping to bounce back from a shock home defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League when they taking on the Thomas Tuchel-led side, who also suffered a heavy domestic League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend.
