The player was said to have picked up an illness forcing him to miss action since last month which prevented him from playing in the Bournemouth game.

Erik Ten Hag did confirmed the player wasn’t fit enough that why he did take part in their game on December 9 in 2023.

Anthony Martial is not injured like many presumed, but he is yet to fully gain fitness which have prompted what many would say as a drastic action by the Manchester United boss.

Erik Ten Hag decision is one which was given to Jadon Sancho before things escalated and now Anthony Martial have been put in same situation.

The manager believes it could benefit the player in regaining his fitness and become more effective with the team.

It hasn’t been easy at Old Trafford with the Dutch International job on the line and he is doing everything to improve the work rate of the team.

Anthony Martial was pushed out because he can’t keep up with the intense training with the first team due to his fitness issues flagged by Erik Ten Hag.
