The game kicked off with Barca looking to ensure they made good use of their status to overshadow their opponent moving forward.
Deportivo Alaves gave a good account from kickoff which saw them being able to keep calm and hold play despite the pressure put on them.
Barcelona were all over the place pushing to make sure they took the lead which was unfortunately not working for them despite all that was done.
There was so much done from both ends until Robert Lewandowski made it count with an outstanding finish making sure things became 0-1 in the 22nd minute.
Barcelona were okay to head into the break after 45 minutes which they were ahead 0-1 against Deportivo Alaves who were calm but couldn’t make anything happen.
There was so much left to be done from the second half and they both came in and did everything possible from their end.
Barcelona was good in ensuring they kept to their dominance and added to their lead in the 49th minute which was a beautiful goal scored by Ilkay Gundogan to make it 0-2.
Deportivo Alaves pulled one goal back through Samuel Omorodion who was able to capitalize on his opportunity to make things 1-2 in the 51st minutes of play.
Vitor Roque came off the bench and scored a stunner in the 63rd minute making things for his side 1-3 before going on to receive two yellow cards resulting in his sending off in the 72nd minute.
Barcelona were good to go as they kept things calm claiming a 1-3 victory away from home against Deportivo Alaves who were no match for them throughout 90 minutes.
