Chelsea co-owner and Chairman Todd Boehly may no longer hold his position as Chelsea Chairman as per an explosive leak of internal agreement among the top-ranking members of the Blues hierarchy, MySportDab reports.

Since a £4.25bn deal that saw Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, including Jose Feliciano emerge as the club’s new owners, it has been a sad tale of misfortunes.

Under the watch of the new hands and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea have gone under four different hands as managers. Thomas Tuchel was sacked after a dismal Champions League run and inconsistent domestic form.

Graham Potter, his successor, was also shown the club exit door after a dismal run.

Club legend Frank Lampard took over as interim boss from make-shift assistant manager Bruno Saltor. Under Lampard, Chelsea continued struggling and finished in the bottom half of the Premier League for the first time in decades.

Lampard left at the end of the 2022/23 season following the expiration of his interim tenure with Mauricio Pochettino emerging as the new manager.

The stats under Mauricio Pochettino has far off the benchmark with the club ruled out of the top-four race and also on the brink of going trophyless this season.

The farthest the Blues have gone since Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali, and Clearlake Capital took over the club is reaching the final of the EFL Cup where they lost to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the club have splashed a record £1bn on transfers and team overhaul that has not yielded results.

Now, according to The Telegraph, an explosive leak has revealed there was an agreement between Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali, and Jose Feliciano – the three co-owners of the club – that the chairman of the club will serve for five years and a new chairman will be appointed.

As part of the agreement, there was  provisions for the chairmanship position to be shared between two of the co-owners if need be.

With Chelsea continuously drifting off the pecking order despite the heavy cash outlay, sources close to the club have revealed Todd Boehly may not be considered for the chairmanship role again in 2027 when his tenure expires should Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano opt to contest for the role.

And also there have been reports of Eghbali Behdad’s growing influence at the club with Todd Boehly’s credibility on the shrink.

However, the agreement is said to be optional not an obligation, hence Todd Boehly could continue on the reins as Chelsea Chairman if the other two part owners pass a vote of confidence on him.
