Manchester United ‘Nine-man’ Shortlist’ To Replace Erik ten Hag REVEALED! [Full List]

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a rich ‘nine-man shortlist’ to replace manager Erik ten Hag should they decide to part ways with the Dutch in the summer, MySportDab reports.

Erik ten Hag is facing an uncertain future in the dugout at Old Trafford with his less-than-stellar campaign with the club this season.

Manchester United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly considering replacing the Dutch tactician as part of his overarching attempt to transform the club.

According to ESPN, United ‘have shortlisted nine possible names’ that could replace Erik ten Hag should they want to part ways with the Dutch.

Leading the list of England national team manager Gareth Southgate. Southgate has made the rounds recently as a top candidate to replace Erik ten Hag.

Speaking ahead of England’s international friendly against Brazil, the England boss said he is focused on his England job, and brandished rumors linking him to Man United as disrespectful.

Another name reportedly on shortlisted for the role is Former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui. Lopetegui is reportedly considered based on his experience in the Premier League including the LaLiga.

Sporting Lisbon’s manager Ruben Amorin, who was also linked to the soon-to-be-vacant Liverpool job, is also among the names of potential successors to Erik ten Hag.

Germany national team manager Julian Nagelsmann also makes the cut and is reportedly considered based on his experience with topflight clubs, including Germany national team.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is also a potential candidate. Zidane won three consecutive Champions League trophies with Real Madrid before going on his sabbatical.

He has been linked to the United role with Sir Jim said to be a strong admirer of the French football coach.

Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is also another top candidate to take over at Old Trafford. Potter turned down a managerial role with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s other outfit – Nice, and is said to be the INEOS supremo’s favorite candidate to helm affairs in Man United dugout.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is also on the frame of potential successors, including Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel, who will leave his role at Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

The final on the list is Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou who had done a great job with Spurs on his debut season.
