Borussia Dortmund Permanent Move For Jadon Sancho Suffers SETBACK!

Borussia Dortmund’s move to sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent deal from Manchester United has been hit with a setback, MySportDab reports.

Away from his four-month nightmare after clashing with Man United manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho was getting up to speed with his game with Borussia Dortmund following his loan switch to the Bundesliga outfit.

The English winger got off the mark, bagging an assist in his first Bundesliga match after rejoining the club, and has gone ahead to record Bundesliga and Champions League goals.

MySportDab understand Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the 23-year-old on a permanent basis following an impressive loan shift with the club.

However, the move could be torpedoed due to Manchester United’s demand for the player.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are willing to part ways with Sancho on a permanent deal but wants not less than £40m for the player.

The report adds Borussia Dortmund are not ready to fork out as much as £40m for Jadon Sancho, hence may not agree a deal with Manchester United.

Notably, United’s £40m transfer demand for Jadon Sancho fell drastically below the £73m transfer fee they paid Borussia Dortmund to sign the player back in 2019.

However, it is understood Sancho’s market value has dropped drastically following his career-worst stint with Manchester United which reached its nadir in the inadvertent fallout with Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United are not likely to lower their transfer fee for Sancho, and Borussia Dortmund, who are understood to be shrewd businessmen in the transfer market, are not likely to budge in their position either.

Nevertheless, it is not the end of the road between the two parties on a possible Sancho deal.

Sources close to the Bundesliga outfit reveal they have two alternative options on the table – either to table a player-plus-cash offer to United for Sancho or extend his loan deal next season.
