Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly ready to quit his role as Manchester United manager but on one condition, MySportDab reports.

Ten Hag has been under pressure as Manchester United struggle to measure up to rivals in the Premier League, including a dismal Champions League campaign that saw the team crash out in the group stages of the competition.

Hopes of returning to the elite club competition next season is fading away with the club teetering on the brink of ending the season trophyless as well.

Things have gotten worse with a recurrent injury crisis, a slack in form by the team’s top stars, including frequent reports of dressing room malaise and discord.

This and many more have combined to tank up the pressure on the former Ajax boss with reports he could sacked at the end of the season.

While the former Utrecht manager has maintained a bold and optimistic outlook on his future at Manchester United, reports say he is open to leaving Manchester United if the need arises.

According to The Mirror, ten Hag is even ready to resign from his role as United manager if the club’s new co-owners, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, lose their confidence in him at the end of the season.

The report claims he is open to returning to Ajax as manager should he leave United in the summer.

Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United as manager in 2022, signing a three-year contract till 2025 with a one-year extension option.

He has one year left on his contract with the club but could exit the dugout at Old Trafford at the end of the season as things stand.

However, it is understood Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is head-on on his overhaul of the club, has yet to decide on the future of the Dutch.

Meanwhile, Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate have been linked to the Man United job with both managers said to have strong ties with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new administrative recruits to Old Trafford.
