Inter Milan have been crowned champions of the 2023/24 Serie A after a 2-1 victory over City rivals AC Milan on Serie A matchday 33 clash, MySportDab reports.
The Nerazurri went into the game with a 14-point gap on top of the table, and needed victory at the San Siro to seal their 20th Serie A title.

It was a tightly-contested clash as the prolific Inzaghi-led team met the stubborn city rivals determined to delay their title celebrations.
While AC Milan was far from halting Inter Milan’s unstoppable surge towards their 20th Italian topflight title, they had a lot to fight for with Juventus, Bologna, and Roma breathing down their neck in the race for a top four finish.
Meanwhile, the stage was set for a difficult game for the Stephan Pioli-led side coming up against a solid Inter Milan side that have lost only one match this season.

The game did not veer off conjectures with Inter Milan getting off proceedings with a bright start. Their first shot on target was a goal. Ascebi raced the title hopefuls in front, scoring a header early in the first half to separate the tie.
Inter Milan goalkeeper Sommer was forced to make a series of spectacular saves as AC Milan built momentum, trying to find an equaliser after conceding.
In the second half, Inter Milan beat the odds to consolidate the lead with a second goal, thanks to Thuram’s low shot into the bottom corner.

An air of festivity was beginning to sift through the stands as Inter Milan fans rose to their feet in anticipation of the big celebration as the Nerazurri went up with a two-goal lead.

10 minutes before regulation time, Tomori narrowed the deficit and set up the game for a nervy finish.
With a 2-1 lead, Inter Milan dropped deep in the last minutes and did due diligence defending hard to secure the victory and clinching their 20th Serie A title.
