Manchester United have taken a decision on Erik ten Hag’s future amidst the club’s dismal campaign this term, MySportDab reports.

United’s stuttering start to the campaign under Erik ten Hag has shown no sign of slowing down with the season set to be rounded off in a GV.

The alarming run of poor results reached its climax with a shocking 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. And pressure has been mounting on the United hierarchy to part ways with Erik ten Hag in the wake of the dismal run-ins.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, speaking after the loss to Crystal Palace, said Erik ten Hag has nailed his exit coffin and should be sacked

Jamie Carragher lambasted the club as one of the most disorganized teams this season after the loss.

All these and other brutal takes on Ten Hag’s less-than-stellar campaign this season has piled up pressure on the Dutchman with reports he could be sacked at the end of the season.

Now, according to The Sun, Manchester United are not ready to part ways with Erik ten Hag this season and will want to continue with the 54-year-old next season.

The report adds United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe believes Erik ten Hag was not provided with enough support and backing, including a great sporting atmosphere to reverse United’s misfortunes. Consequently, the INEOS supremo wants to give the Dutchman another chance next season to turn things around.

This means Erik ten Hag will continue in United’s dugout as manager next season and will run out his three-year contract with the club.

Speaking after the Crystal Palace defeat, ten Hag boldly asserted he is the right man for the Man United job despite the long-running deadlock this season.

The former Ajax boss blamed the capitulation by Crystal Palace to a crippling injury crisis that has castrated the squad of its finest legs in key positions.

However, a section of United fanbase and club legends such as Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand have disputed the Dutch, insisting he has not done enough to manage the injury crisis and is clueless tactically to arrest the horrific run.
