Enzo Maresca is now looking like a possibility to become the next Chelsea manager ahead of the new season, MySportDab reports.
The London club recently parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino despite the manager doing well enough to finish sixth.
Chelsea are now pushing to make Enzo Maresca their new manager as things stand right now concerning a replacement.
The Leicester City boss recently pushed the Foxes back to Premier League after winning the Championship this season.
He is set to land a bigger role in Chelsea as things are looking more interesting when it comes to an announcement for a new manager.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed talk have advanced between both parties involved which could actually see something get completed.
Here Is What Was Said:
“Chelsea are advancing in talks to appoint Enzo Maresca as new head coach.
“Positive talks over the weekend, he’s 100% keen and excited by the Chelsea project.
“No issues on Maresca’s contract already being discussed — talks to follow with Leicester City over €10m compensation fee.
Everything are looking positive despite the news earlier which had other names being linked to taking over things at Stamford Bridge.
It won’t be an easy job as the new manager will be tasked to do more than what Pochettino did within a short time frame.
However there could be a discussion which would guarantee time to rebuild for anyone who would end up taking over at Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca is looking like the man who will be given the opportunity to land a go at Chelsea for the new season which won’t be an easy one to carry on.
