Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace as Portugal beat Ireland 3-0 in their final preparation for Euro 2024, MySportDab reports.

The Portuguese legend made it his 130th goal playing for the national team after netting a brace in the friendly game.

It was a good way to finish preparations as they will embark on the Euro 2024 with a lot of expectations on their side to win the title.

The stadium had the fans filled with expectations of making something happen from the kickoff from both ends.

Portugal came prepared and they were able to take the lead through Joao Felix with a top-notch finish making things 1-0 in the 18th minute.

Things looked unclear for Ireland who were just in the game and did well enough to block more goals from happening as they carried on.

There were moments when something could have happened in the first half, but it was all going nowhere as they continued to make the opportunities.

Portugal had a 1-0 lead against Ireland when both teams headed inside for the break which saw them both doing well enough.

The commencement of the second half came to life as both teams came in charging fresh and pushing for something.

Cristiano Ronaldo announced himself in the match after a wonderful finish in the 50th minute making it 2-0 for Portugal.

It was entertaining as the Portuguese fans watched on while Ireland pushed back but they couldn’t fix anything of their own going forward.

Ronaldo made it a brace after scoring again in the 60th minute after another stunner making things for himself for the country to 130 goals.

It was over as Portugal kept it clean and a 3-0 victory against Ireland which was another wonderful outing as they gather for the Euro 2024 which commences this month with much expectations.
