Chelsea are not looking to go down easy on the race to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, MySportDab reports.

Arsenal already made an offer to sign the defender but are yet to make anything with Bologna who remain adamant for a high fee.

Riccardo Calafiori is a main target for both Arsenal and Chelsea this summer window which both teams want to sign him by any means possible.

The defender is expected to come for a high value after his performance for his club and also transferring it to countryside.

There have been a number of teams linked with the player but only Arsenal and Chelsea have made serious push for a move this summer.

The Gunners was earlier confirmed to have made an offer for Riccardo Calafiori today, and now Chelsea have done their own part also.

Report from Fabrizio Romano have confirmed that the Blues are expected to make an addition of a players to some cash offer to complete a move.

Here Is What Was Said:

“More on Riccardo Calafiori. Mikel Arteta approved Italian defender, part of 3 defender targets list.

“Arsenal have also good relationship with Bologna after Tomiyasu deal; request is around €50m, still no formal bid.

“Chelsea would offer players as part of the deal.

It will go down as another juicy transfer which both London clubs are doing everything to make happen.

This won’t be the first time both clubs are clashing over signing same player as they had it during Mudryk move which ended up happening for Chelsea.

Riccardo Calafiori to Chelsea is a possibility but all will depend on an agreement with Bologna which is the main part of everything happening.
