Kai Havertz has completed his Chelsea medical ahead of a club record £92m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, MySportDab reports.

According to German Newspaper BILD, Havertz completed his Chelsea medical on Sunday in London.

Chelsea can now announce Havertz’s arrival from Leverkusen after his successful medical.

The Blues monitored the youngster for months even before the end of the 2019-20 season.

Leverkusen have decided to not let him until they can completely sign a replacement.

Patrik Schick from AS Roma to Bayern Leverkusen is set to be confirmed in the coming days, which gives Havertz the chance to leave.

MySportDab understands that Havertz travelled to London last week in secret and completed his medical ahead of the transfer being made official.

It’s likely that he has already completed his media speech with Chelsea’s in-house channels while he was in London.

Havertz has agreed personal terms to join Chelsea and was only waiting for both clubs to reach an agreement.

He is currently with the Germany national team, and he won’t be return until Monday next week.

However, he will likely skip a return to Leverkusen and come back to London, with Chelsea’s first Premier League match of the new season days away.

The Blues play against Brighton on September 12 in their first match, with Havertz is to be make his debut if the transfer is confirmed early enough.

Chelsea are now going to make Havertz the most expensive German footballer of all time, and their new record signing.

The Blues will pay up to £90m for the 21-year-old, with £71m upfront and it would matching the club record fee they paid for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Havertz’s transfer will bring Chelsea’s summer spending total to over £240m, the most they’ve spent in a single transfer window.

Having already signed defensive options by bringing in Ben Chilwell for £50m and Thiago Silva on a free transfer.

Chelsea could still bring in a new Goalkeeper.
