Manchester City’s possible penalty and judgement date after the Premier League’s 115 charges has been confirmed, MySportDab reports.

Hearing into the charges are set to begin today with speculations rife on what is likely to be the penalty and also how long the judgement will last.

According to the BBC, the hearing is likely to last for 10 weeks. This means judgement will be delivered on the last week of December 2024 or the first week of January 2025.

On what is likely to be the punishment for the Premier League giants if they are found guilty, Daily Express reports that the Premier League are suggesting point deduction over multiple seasons for which they have been indicted.

Note that the club is battling 115 count charges on from the Premier League. A breakdown of the charges, as revealed by the Premier League, shows 54 counts of these charges border on false financial reporting by the club from 2009-10 to 2017-18 season.

The club reportedly tendered false financial documents on how much they sign and pay players and managers within the said period.

Seven counts of the charge are for the club’s alleged violation of Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules from 2015-16 to 2017-18 season. The Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules limits Premier League clubs to only £105m losses over three seasons.

The remaining 35 count of the charges are for failure to co-operate with the Premier League on investigation from 2018 to 2023.

Now, if City are found to be guilty of the charges, they will be hit with point deductions for the seasons mentioned in the charge, as claimed by Daily Express.

This means the club is likely to lose all the Premier League titles they have won or at least for the years they can’t come out unscathed.

Also, this h as s ruled out the possibility of them getting relegated to the lower division is the English football league system.

Amidst the allegations, they have not budged on their claim of innocence but their fate will be determined by the Independent Commission after the hearing.
