Bukayo Saka starred as Arsenal came from behind to defeat Southampton in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
The first half ended barren before Cameron Archer fired the Saints into the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
Immediately, Arsenal found an equalizer through Kai Havertz in the 58th minute, thanks to an assist by Bukayo Saka.
Eight minutes after the hour-mark, the Premier League title hopefuls completed the comeback after Gabriel Martinelli poked home Bukayo Saka’s cross at the back post past Aaron Ramsdale.
The Gunners stayed atop proceedings after taking the lead. A flurry of missed chances nearly saw the game end 2-1 before Bukayo Saka rose to the occasion to bag his hat-trick of goal contributions.
The England sensation scored late into the second half to make it 3-1 and demolish every remnants of a possible comeback for the away side.
The game ended with the home side securing all three points following the stunning comeback. Arsenal have now won five of their seven matches, drawing two. Southampton are rocked in the relegation zone with one point from their seven matches. The Saints have yet to win a match this season and are 19th on the log.
The will return to Premier League action on Saturday, October 19, 2024 with Arsenal also playing on same date against Leicester City.
