Paul Pogba has made a drastic decision on his Juventus future after Court of Arbitration for Sports ruled on his doping ban, MySportDab reports.

The French footballer had his career grind to a halt after Italian Anti-doping Tribunal banned him for four years from football for testing positive to hormone and performance-enhancing substance.

Defending himself, Pogba had insisted that he never intentionally used the substance but that it was part of the food supplement which was prescribed to him by his doctors when he was recovering from injury.

He appealed the judgement with the Court of Arbitration for Sports and won the appeal. The court ruled that the player actually did not intentionally use the banned substance.

Also, it was established by the court that the substance was not active for male athletes, hence had no impact on the player’s on-field experiences.

As a result, Pogba’s four-year ban was reduced to 18 months with a €15,000 fine written off . Moreover, he was cleared to return to Juventus training in January 2025 and make his full return to action on March 2025.

At the instance of the CAS ruling, Pogba initially expressed his readiness to return to action with Juventus. He reiterated his limitless joy for having to return to what he loved doing – playing football – soon.

Now, reports from multiple outlets, including Fabrizio Romano have confirmed the player will not return to Juventus again. He is expected to chart a new career path away from the Turin-based outfit.

The report adds both Pogba and Juventus are ready to mutually end their contract and let the former Man United midfielder leave.

Pogba reportedly believes he needs a new start away from the club after the Court Ruling.

MySportDab understands Pogba has a year left on his Juventus contract. During his trial, Juventus were reportedly considering terminating his contract.

Also, his weekly wage was slashed from £200,000 weekly to £1,700, accordion to other reports. With the uneasy and tensed relations between the two parties amidst the trial, it was easy to forecast the French footballer may not likely return to Serie A giants.

He is currently linked with a possible move to the MLS where he could link up with other French footballers such as Olivier Giroud and Hugo Lloris.
