2024 Golden Boy Nominees’ CONFIRMED [See Full List]

The 2024 Golden Boy nominees have been confirmed with fast-rising youngsters in Europe making the cut, MySportDab reports.

Comprising young footballers aged 21 and below, 20 names have been shortlisted for the award which enters its 20th edition this year.

Real Madrid and England forward Jude Bellingham is the reigning winner having clinched the award in 2023 following a brilliant club and international campaign last year.

This year, Premier League, La Liga, and French Ligue 1, headlines the nominees’ list.

Leading the list of players in the shortlist is Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal. Yamal, 18, is top favourite for the award after he won 2024 Euros for Spain in Germany and clinched the Young Player of the Tournament Award.

He also put up some impressive performances for Barcelona and was top of his game throughout last season to earn his place in the nominees’ list.

Manchester United have three names on the list. England sensation Kobbie Mainoo has made it to the nominees’ list. The 18-year-old Stockport-born midfielder recorded a hugely impressive career with Manchester United last season.

His United teammates and Argentina international Alejandro Garnacho has also made the list, including new arrival from Lille Leny Yoro.

From French Ligue 1, PSG have three representatives in the list namely Desire Doue, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Joao Neves.
