Fast-rising Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has fired warning to Real Madrid ahead of the El-Clasico, MySportDab reports.
In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old reiterated his confidence in the Barcelona squad when asked about the El-Clasico, insisting the team have all it takes to take on the arch-domestic rivals and defending champions.
“We believe we are the best team in the world, we are proving it”.
“We will go with all our strength, and may the best team win,” he said.
Lamine Yamal has featured in six five El-Clasico matches since his big break into Barcelona first team in 2022.
He has been a standout performer for the club and will be looking to pull another stunning display as Barcelona prepare to trade tackles with Los Blancos.
This season, he has already gotten off to a terrific start in La Liga and UEFA Champions League.
He has 10 goal contributions in 10 La Liga matches for the Catalans, comprising 4 goals and 6 assists.
He also has a goal and one assist in three Champions League matches for the club.
Barcelona will go into the game against Real Madrid with a lot at stake. They are top of the La Liga table with 27 points, three points better than Real Madrid in second place.
A win will seen the club extend the lead at the top of the table and boost their chances of beating Real Madrid to the title while a defeat will see them lose their three-point gap at the top.
Lamine Yamal is expected to play a crucial in the match as the team seek to continue on their bright start in Spanish top flight this season.
