Andre Onana heroed through on goal for Manchester United as the Red Devils salvaged a point against Fenerbahce in a Europa League clash in Istanbul, MySportDab reports.
The Cameroonian shot-stopper stole the spotlights for a series of spectacular saves that kept United in the game.
From long-range strikes to close-range attempts, Onana proved yet again his class with a standout performance for the Red Devils.
His most notable performance came a minute after the half-hour as United continued to reel under pressure from Fenerbache.
Fenerbache player Szymanski had whipped a dangerous cross into the penalty area, and En-Nesyri headed towards the goal, but Onana made a superb stop to tip it away.
Meanwhile, another Fenerbache player Tadic was there to lift back the rebound into the middle where En-Nesyri headed again, but Onana made another save, palming it over the bar
The excellent double save caught the attention of Jose Mourinho, who applauded the goalie before uncontrollably caught up with laughter at the touchline. Watch the Video on Twitter.
However, Fenerbache would finally get past Andre Onana’s heroics five minutes into the restart.
En-Nesyri, who was denied twice by Onana in that heroic first-half moment, finally got past the goalie with a header from Saint-Maximin’s dangerous cross.
The goal saw Fenerbache tie the score and forced the Red Devils to a third consecutive draw in the competition.
Away from the outcome of the match, Onana dominated the headlines with the brilliant double save in the first half to deny En-Nesyri.
Notably, despite United’s poor start to the campaign, the former Inter Milan goalkeeper has shone bright with pockets of brilliant performances.
He is leading the chart of Premier League goalkeepers with the most clean sheets this season and will hope to continue with his elite-level displays for the Red Devils.
