Ruud Van Nistelroy Breaks Silence on Joining Ruben Amorim Coaching Staff

Ruud Van Nistelroy has broken his silence on joining Ruben Amorim’s coaching staff at United, MySportDab reports.

The former Man United player-turned-manager is currently coaching the club on interim capacity after former boss Erik ten Hag was sacked.

Under his watch, he has reversed the doldrum of deadlock that had engulfed the team, winning all three matches.

For United fans, Ruud Van Nistelroy should remain in the United coaching setup under Amorim due to his promising four-month spell at the club.

He was crucial in United’s acquisition of former Arsenal youth player Chido Obi-Martins and has proved his capabilities temporarily in the United dugout by reversing his predecessor Erik Ten Hag’s winless run.

However, it is understood incoming Manchester United manager Amorim will join the club with his coaching staff from Sporting Lisbon.

Amorim revealed he will move to the Old Trafford club with his staff whom he has worked with since his days at Casa Pia in 2018.

United caved into the condition and has concluded plans for him to resume as manager on November 11.

This has left Ruud Van Nistelroy’s role in the new coaching setup uncertain.

Speaking after leading Manchester United to their third win in a row under his watch against POAK in the Europa League, Nistelroy seemed to confirm fears from the United fans that he is likely to be frozen out of Ruben Amorim’s setup.

When asked whether he and Amorim have spoken to each other, he said;

“Ruben is focusing on Braga and I focus on Leicester. That’s a great one for now and it shows that we are focused on the day-by-day job and getting the maximum out of the team.

”Let him focus on Braga and I focus on Leicester and we’ll see after that. I’ve got to check my phone now [to see if he has messaged]… I will do so later.”

Nistelroy’s last words confirmed he has not spoken with Amorim yet with the Portuguese just days away from assuming the reins in United’s dugout.

Ruud Van Nistelroy has won all his three matches as United’s interim boss and will be looking to make it a perfect four-match run as United’s interim boss when he plays Leicester City in his last match.

At the time of filing this report, it has yet to be confirmed whether he will be a part of Amorim’s setup or not.
